What Are These Facial Treatments And How Do I Know What I Need?
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Photofacials are used to treat color issues, AKA brown spots and red spots or broken capillaries. This light affects the pigmented cells and destroys them. Using heat, it also shuts down the broken capillaries and improves the redness seen in the skin. This is our go-to treatment for Rosacea.
Micro Needling is used for those we can’t treat with heat and light, typically people with Melasma. Micro needling breaks up superficial pigment and addresses fine lines and texture issues in the skin. This treatment is a great way to rebuild the collagen that we naturally lose each year.
ResurFX is our fractional laser that we use to address fine lines, wrinkles, and laxity in the skin.
All of these treatments cause a controlled wound to the skin. The skin kicks in with the wound healing response. The skin uses collagen, elastin, and fibroblast to rejuvenate the skin. Laying down new fiber matrix in the skin is what causes the anti-aging results.
