What is PRP Therapy?

PRP, which stands for Platelet Rich Plasma, is a treatment that uses plasma which is a component of your own blood cells to rejuvenate your skin by repairing collagen ad regenerating healthy tissue to produce a more overall youthful look. PRP therapy has been used in the health care field for over 25 years especially in orthopedic surgery and has only recently become popular in the cosmetic setting.

How Does PRP Work?

A small amount of blood is drawn by our RN or physician which then spins in a centrifuge machine. This separates your plasma and platelets from your red and white blood cells. Following this process, the PRP is then drawn up into syringes and injected into the areas you want to be treated such as crows feet, lines around mouth or jawline. We can also use our micro-needling technique with the PRP to give you the overall rejuvenation of your skin. The Micro-needling process is used in conjunction with the PRP by applying the PRP topically to your skin and using our Rejuvepen Micro-needling system. This process is used for full face, neck, and chest.
