Permanent Lip Blushing
Lip blushing is permanent color for your lips. After having your lips blushed with permanent makeup, you will wake up to color on your lips that lasts all day. One of the main reasons people get permanent cosmetics is the convenience of not having to apply and reapply makeup on a regular basis.
What Is Lip Blushing?
Lip blushing is a tattooed lipstick procedure that gives permanent color to your lips. The color and shape will vary with each client's preferences. This procedure can also be used to enhance and define the lips where they may have lost pigment.
Note that tattooing lips cannot be used to make your lips look bigger. Only the lips and up to the vermillion border will be tattooed.
Who Is An Ideal Candidate?
Any person who is tired of wearing lipstick, lip stains, or has lost pigment on their lips. Many people don’t understand why our lips start to look different as we age, but our lips can lose their definition and color with time.
Wearing and applying color to your lips on a regular basis can get cumbersome and the product can often smudge or transfer. Permanent lip blushing takes away the need for the daily application of lip color.
Risks and Benefits
The main benefit is no longer having to apply lip color. With lip blushing, your lip color stays on 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Lip blushing also adds definition to the lips. Lip blushing can give natural looking pigment back to lips that have lost color.
As with any tattoo, there are risks to the procedure. The main risks are bruising, allergic reaction and infection. There is a slight chance of other adverse reactions.
How The Procedure Works
During the lip blushing procedure, your lips will be drawn on by our trained technician. We start by selecting your pigment. Matching lip tone or adding natural everyday color to the lips is advised. This is a color you will always have, even when you have no other makeup on.
Once the your pigment is chosen and the lip shape is set, then your lips are numbed with lidocaine followed by the implantation of pigment. This is done with a single fine needle and a tattoo machine.
Is the Procedure Painful?
Lip blushing can be a mildly discomforting procedure. During lip blushing you may feel a sensation similar to intense scratching or pinching. Every person’s pain tolerance is very different. The topical numbing cream we apply will significantly dull the pain.
