Fotona 4D is an innovative laser treatment that combines two laser wavelengths to treat four distinct dimensions of your skin to rejuvenate and tighten from the inside out.
Fotona 4D offers a non-surgical, noninvasive facial rejuvenation that delivers natural and long-lasting results target multiple layers of your skin.
This technology is particularly effective for addressing skin laxity and sagging, as it stimulates collagen production and promotes natural tissue rejuvenation without the need for fillers.
Step 1 - Smooth Lifting
Fotona4D® starts inside the mouth, where laser energy is used to immediately kick start the tightening process. This step reduces expression lines like the nasolabial folds ("laugh lines") and wrinkles naturally.
Step 2: FRAC3® - Fix Imperfections
Next, to complement the intra-oral treatment, deeper imperfections (like deep lines) and pigments are precisely targeted to restore a youthful texture and more uniform overall complexion.
Step 3: PIANO® - Tightening
A brushing technique is used to safely and gently apply heating to create an overall tightening effect, resulting in more firm and lifted skin.
Step 4: SupErficial™ - Better Texture
Lastly, a light laser peel is done to improve skin texture and address surface-level imperfections, which makes skin looks refreshed and tighter.
What To Do Before Your Treatment
7 Days Prior – Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and spray tans. Also discontinue us of any light sensitive medications.
5 Days Prior – Discontinue use of any products with Retinol, Retin-A or Tretinoin except for Environ products which are fine to continue to use. Wash face with the gentle cleanser each day and apply the Hydrator that was provided at the time of your consultation. Drink lots of water to hydrate your skin. The more hydrated, the better the treatment results.
2 Days Prior - Start Acyclovir or Valtrex prescription if you are instructed to do so.
Day of Treatment – Make sure face and neck are thoroughly cleansed before your appointment. ALL make-up, which includes ALL eye make-up, needs to be completely removed. Shave any dark hairs on face and neck before treatment (men and women).
If a topical anesthetic was provided, please apply 1 hour before treatment or as instructed by our clinic.
What To Do After Your Treatment
Day of Treatment: Skin will be bright red and feel like moderate sunburn. Begin aftercare products that evening.
Day 2-5: There will be superficial peeling, dryness, and tightness. Use cleansing lotion, ACE Oil, Hydrabalm, and sunscreen that our clinic has provided and reapply as often as needed. May resume wearing make-up 24 hours after treatment. If the skin becomes excessively itchy due to dryness and flakiness, you can apply 1% Hydrocortisone OTC once a day. An antihistamine, such as Benadryl or Zyrtec, can be taken for any type of heat reaction.
Day 5: May resume normal skin care regimen.
STRICT AVOIDANCE OF SUN FOR ONE WEEK AND APPLY SUNSCREEN EVERYDAY
How Many Treatments Will You Need
Within one week you will notice the appearance of brightening and tightening of the treated area. Complete results will occur gradually over 2-3 months, with continuing collagen improvement for up to six months after completion of your series.
The recommended number of treatments depends on the your age, skin condition etc.
• For ages of 25-30, 3 treatments are recommended
• For ages 40-50, 4 treatments annually.
• For ages 50 and above, 5-6 treatments annually.
Each treatment should be spanned 4-6 weeks apart. After the first year, the cadence can be reduced to 1-3 times or based on the recommendations of the service provider.
After completing one treatment, the effect can generally last for around one year, and then one treatment per year is recommended. The treatment plan should be adjusted based on your skin condition & lifestyle habits.
